outdoor sports like river rafting, rock-climbing, backpacking

A prime spot for whitewater rafting.
For those who would like to take a guided tour outdoors, jeep
and mountain bike tours are offered.
Hunt
and Fish
Fly fishing is popular at spots near Santa Fe like the Pecos
and Rio Chama rivers, and lake-fishing sites like Cochiti
Lake or Santa Cruz Reservoir.
The
Reel Life, (505/995-8114) at the Sanbusco Center,
is an Orvis endorsed fly shop. The staff there is savvy about
local fly patterns and can turn you on to some excellent local
guides.
For
more fishing, and hunting, visit St.
Pete's Hunt and Fish Club online. St. Pete's offers
guided hunts; draw or on private land. Their site also has
information about our local seasons and how to get a New Mexico
hunting license. Elk hunts are their specialty.

from all over to see the aspen trees in their autumn glory.
All along Hyde Park Road to the ski basin are scenic vistas
of the beautiful trees cloaked in golden splendor.
Experience
the sunny Santa Fe Slopes
Because
it is in the heart of New Mexico's prime ski country, winter
sports aficionados flock to Santa Fe from November to April.
Ski
Santa Fe is only 20 miles away from the Plaza, and
has 39 downhill ski trails, 7 lifts, and a summit elevation
of 12,000 feet. The area allows both skiers and snowboarders
